Job Description

Role Overview:

I2E Consulting is seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to design, develop, and maintain solutions on SharePoint Online and the broader Microsoft 365 platform. The successful candidate will build and customize sites, automate business processes, develop custom components, and support migration and integration initiatives. This role requires strong hands-on development skills, sound problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, site collections, hub sites, lists, libraries, content types, and permissions.
  • Develop custom solutions using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PnP JS, and PowerShell (PnP PowerShell) for automation, provisioning, and administration tasks.
  • Design and build automated business processes and workflows using Nintex Workflow Cloud and Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Develop custom business applications and forms using Microsoft Power Apps (canvas and model-driven apps).
  • Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, integrating data from SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 sources.
  • Implement and support eSignature solutions integrated with SharePoint Online (e.g., DocuSign or Adobe Acrobat Sign), including workflow-driven signing processes.
  • Plan and execute SharePoint content and site migrations using ShareGate, including pre-migration assessment, mapping, execution, and post-migration validation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across SharePoint Online, workflows, integrations, and custom solutions, performing root-cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Monitor platform health, apply governance and best practices, and optimize performance, security, and usability of SharePoint solutions.
  • Leverage AI capabilities within Microsoft 365 (e.g., Copilot, AI Builder) to enhance business processes, automation, and user productivity.
  • Gather requirements from business users, prepare technical documentation, and provide end-user support and training as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and administering SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture: sites, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, search, and permission management.
  • Hands-on experience developing custom web parts and extensions using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) with React and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, including PnP PowerShell, and client-side development with PnP JS.
  • Experience building and supporting workflows in Nintex Workflow Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
  • Experience implementing eSignature solutions such as DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign within SharePoint-based processes.
  • Practical experience with ShareGate for migration and management of SharePoint content.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Team player with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex SharePoint Online issues, including permission conflicts, workflow failures, sync problems, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Skilled at performing root-cause analysis using logs, audit reports, and admin center tools, and at applying long-term fixes rather than workarounds.
  • Ability to evaluate business problems and propose the most suitable solution across SharePoint, Power Platform, and Nintex options.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex requirements into clear, achievable technical tasks.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities in existing solutions.

AI and Emerging Technology Skills:

  • Basic understanding of AI capabilities in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot in SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with AI Builder in the Power Platform (e.g., document/form processing, text recognition, prediction models) to add intelligence to apps and workflows.
  • Awareness of Copilot Studio (or similar) for building simple chatbots and conversational agents for business users.
  • Experience using GitHub Copilot (or similar AI coding assistants) to accelerate development, code reviews, and debugging.
  • Ability to use AI tools effectively and responsibly to boost productivity (e.g., prompt writing, AI-assisted development, and content generation), with attention to data security and governance.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt emerging AI features across Microsoft 365 and Azure (e.g., Azure OpenAI-based integrations) as they become relevant to the business.
